Experiencing Total Stillness… At 66,615.96 MPH?
66,615.96 miles per hour.
Apparently, according to Wikipedia, 66,615.96 mph is the Earth’s orbital speed around the sun 24 hours a day.
In addition, apparently, according to Space.com, 1,180 km/h is the spin speed of the Earth.
That is an eye-watering amount of speed for the Earth to be flying at.
66,615.96 miles per hour. 666…
Having experienced over 20 years many times where my mind was spinning and racing, until Jesus saved my life in 2019 when I was 41 years young, the thought of living upon the Earth that is spinning & flying at preposterous speeds certainly doesn’t seem to be the conditions for absolute calmness and stillness that we all need.
Earlier this evening I was walking across a football field and feeling a wonderful stillness as I looked around me, at the Earth and the clouds in the sky.
Absolute stillness. Peace. Serenity. Beauty. Glory.
God tells us in His Word “Be still and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10.
What If The Earth Isn’t Actually Spinning Or Flying Anywhere?
Would you like to experience and live with absolute stillness in your mind? Absolute peace?
